This majestic stupa-form container is constructed of a bamboo frame supporting a natural-fiber-woven interior, coated with innumerable layers of cinnabar lacquer.

These vessels were used by wealthy families to donate food to monasteries as offerings. The lowest and largest bowl would contain rice, with the upper levels holding flavorful accompaniments, topped with a cup or small bowl. Minor losses and some restoration.
